A new version of Uncyclopedia, dubbed as "Uncyclopedia 2.0", was created on Miraheze by Psl631 and The Pioneer, seemingly in response to not liking en.uncyclopedia.co and even going as far as to dub it as "the old Uncyclopedia".

The site has very few articles and the only ones that do exist seem to be forked from en.uncyclopedia.co.

This new site has caused contention within the Uncyclopedia community and given the nature of this site, we need to take a vote to decide whether or not we recognize this as an Uncyclopedia.

Do we recognize Uncyclopedia 2.0 as a true Uncyclopedia?[editar]

I would say it is an Uncyclopedia in name and should be treated as such. Aguyintobooks (talk) 12:33, 1 April 2019 (UTC).

For what Carlb commented in the previous forum, this wiki neither will be recognized nor will have interlinks of other uncys linking to her in case uncy.co becomes official. In the case of recognizing the bifurcation, it will be offered a different interlink of the standard as happened with UncyWikia (en-gb). @KamafaDelgato: We're talking about a wiki with the same humor as the Uncyclopedia project. If it is specifically about your under-13 project, this does not apply. Rhubella selo-02.pngRhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 2 840 preppieditsRhubella selo-01.png 07:43, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
I was suggesting a langcode for the Miraheze Uncyc. KamafaDelgato (talk) 22:26, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
Sorry, but this has already been done. Rhubella selo-02.pngRhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 2 840 preppieditsRhubella selo-01.png 00:15, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
The language codes are normally assigned only to wikis which are part of this project.
In general, even if a wiki "has the same humour" as the Uncyclopedia project, that doesn't make it an Uncyclopedia unless there are other ties - such as the project having originated somewhere which is already part of the group, with users that are already Uncyclopedians. Most of the wikis in the "in other languages" sidebar were direct spinoffs of uncyclopedia.org (back before Chron sold that domain name out from under us); there used to be a series of pages on en.uncyclopedia with names like Babel:Pt/...coisas... and, once these got a little too large to keep using en: as an incubator, they were moved onto their own domains or servers as their own wikis. There was overlap in user base and content.
The only time I recall an exception being made to this pattern was German, where Wikia did some severe damage to the project (if the terms for the sale of uncyclopedia.de match their usual modus operandi, they paid an undisclosed amount for the founders to turn over everything - project name, database, images, domain - and then delete the originals - along, most likely with a gag order preventing them from starting any new project, disclosing how much they were paid off or saying anything except vague praise of Wikia). Only one problem; whatever data was turned over was corrupted, so anything Wikia's lawyers may have done to coerce anyone to delete the originals ended in excuses that de:'s images "had been stolen by art thieves" and in Wikia staff turning up on other Uncyclopedias to ask that we try to find images to donate to the defeated Germans. The de: Uncyclopedia still exists, but it's always been weaker than other, similar projects like Stupidedia or Kamelopedia which have the same format in the same language... so we link to all three (de: nds: bar:). I can't think of any other time we've done this with a purely external project.
You do realise this thread was started on April Fool's Day by a troll with no other contributions, who was also trolling en.spoon around the same time but who has never set foot in article mainspace in any of these projects? Carlb (talk) 16:21, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
